Updates

The Moticon SCIENCE Mobile App requests a firmware update of the sensor insoles. How do I do that?

The mobile app does't update automatically
  1. Make sure a internet connection is available.
  2. Check auto update is enabled in the play store (Installation step 5)

Connection

No connection to one sensor insole or a pair of sensor insoles.
  1. Make sure the coin cells are charged and inserted correctly.
  2. Make sure bluetooth is turned on.
  3. Shake both sensor insoles to wake them up. (The sensor insoles go automatically to stand-by mode after inactivity.)
  4. Open the recent apps screen and go back to the Moticon SCIENCE Mobile App.
Connection to PC fails
  1. Make sure you are in the Record section in the Moticon SCIENCE Desktop Software.
  2. Check the Instruction how to connect the mobile app with the desktop software and make sure the IP address is correct.
  3. Check the firewall settings on your PC.

Zeroing

The total force is at the beginning/during the measurement not excatly 0N

Always carry out a zeroing before starting a measurement. For optimal results warm the sensor insoles in the shoe for about 1 minute.

Is it possible to store measurements on the memory of the mobile phone and tranfer them later to the PC?

No it is not possible to store measurements on the memory of the mobile phone.

Is it possible to analyze measurements on the smartphone directly?

No it is not possible to analyze measurements on the mobile phone.

Is a direct connection from my PC to the Sensor Insoles possible?

No it is not possible. You always need a smartphone as a hub.

How can I edit the volume of the timer?

The timer volume is linked to the default android alarm volume level.

I cannot download the mobile app from the Play Store
  1. Contact Moticon support and send in the email address linked to your Google account. Moticon will register this email address for the closed Moticon SCIENCE user group.
  2. Click on the link provided to you via E-Mail.
  3. Make sure you are logged in with your Google account you provided us in the browser that opened.
  4. Join the closed program.
  5. A confirmation message will be displayed.
  6. Now open the play store make sure the account you provided to us is active.
I tapped the wrong button at the first start. Now i cannot connect to the sensor insoles and the permission windows do not pop up again.
  1. Turn on Bluetooth manually.
  2. Turn on WiFi manually.
  3. Go to Moticon app-info by longpressing the app icon on the home screen. Tap on permissions and allow access to location.
