How durable are Moticon Sensor Insoles?

Use it, squeeze the outmost out, but treat it with care! The typical durability of a Moticon Sensor Insole is between 100km (60mi) and 200km (120mi) for running. Highly dynamic applications like trail running may lead to a reduced durability. For slow walking, the durability can be higher.

Do you offer warranty?

Moticon offers an attractive product replacement service: No matter what happens, we want you to stay productive with Moticon products. So in case your Moticon Sensor Insoles wear out, you can exchange them for a service fee with preffered lead time. This service is effective for 12 months after you initially purchased the products.

Which sizes can I get?

Moticon Sensor Insoles are available in 9 different double sizes.

Which wireless standard do you use?

Moticon sensor insoles use a modified ANT protocol to transmit data wirelessly. Data can be either recorded on the on-board flash memory for later wireless download and analysis with the Moticon software. Second, data can be streamed directly to a computer (PC/Mac) using an ANT USB dongle or to ANT enabled mobile Android devices.

Are Moticon products certified as medical products?

Moticon is certified as a medical device manufacturer according to DIN ISO-13485. The Moticon Sensor Insoles are certified as a medical product according to CE norms.

NOTE:
FDA/510K medical device approval is pending. Certification is expected Dec. 2017.

Can I synchronize Moticon data with other systems?

There are a 3 options how you can synchronize data from Moticon Sensor Insoles with other systems’ data like EMG, force plates or IMUs.

  1. Sync external data using Moticon Software
    UDP protocol import or TXT import of 3rd party raw data (EMG, IMU, etc.)
    UDP import works in real-time
  2. Sync Moticon data using 3rd party software
    UDP protocol export or TXT export of raw data
    UDP export works in real-time
    For any export, Moticon Software is needed
  3. Create trigger signals in Moticon Software
    UDP protocol import function to import an external trigger signal (e.g. TTL)
    Data synchronization can be processed in the aftermath according to 1.

NOTE:
Moticon data contains an absolute time stamp which allows you to trim data offline using timing information.

What are the minimum system requirements ?

The minimum system requirements.

  • PC software: Win7, Intel i5, 4GB RAM, 10GB HDD, DirectX9
  • MAC software: At least OSX?, 4GB RAM, 10GB HDD, DirectX9 (limitations: no webcam video, no PDF export of report data
  • Smartphone app: ANT+ enabled Android device
